ABOUT THE ARTIST
Josephus P. Bartin
Is a human being that is into anything Creative, involves Teamwork and has Compassion.
Originally hailing from Cebu, City, Philippines.
He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Painting degree in the University of the Philippines, Cebu Campus, where he actively volunteered every summer facilitating Summer Art Classes in the neighboring Islands.
In College, He was also the Grand Chancellor of Alpha Phi Omega International Service Fraternity – Zeta Omega UP Cebu Chapter, developing Leadership, promoting Friendship and providing Service, to the School, the Community and to the Nation as a whole.
After the Death of his 2nd younger Brother, he discovered Poetry as his natural way of coping depression, the compilation culminated with the release of two Independent Poetry Book, including “Elusive Bliss – Life, Love and its Sarcasms“ under the Pen Name MINDSPEN.
Which later became the basis for his song-writings with the Band “Wish I had One” or WiHO, a rock alternative band based in Davao City, Philippines where he moved in 2009.
After almost 8 years of working in the Business Process Outsourcing Companies as a Team Leader and Coach, Josephus decided to move to Bangkok where he stayed for six years, worked mostly as an Art Teacher, became President of Alpha Phi Omega Siam Alumni Association and APO Thailand, pursued his passion, and was able to travel around countries as a full time Artist.
Josephus also plays Bass for the Bangkok Based Cebuano Trio “Watchinanggo” and released their single “Good”, a song that tackles human existentialism.
Right before Covid 19 Outbreak, Josephus decided to go back home to Davao City where he Manages a team for an online Interior Design Company based in San Francisco and currently continuing his Passion as Artist of Some Sort.
Josephus also has been a Teacher for Painting, Music, Scouting, Mathematics, and a Personal/Professional development Coach.
